Redeeming and Reimagining Western Values
We long for the redemption and restoration of a free and open society based on Western values compatible with human flourishing, defended by good men.
Where have all the good men gone? As C.S. Lewis wrote, we have a society filled with “men without chests.” He meant not that men are weak, but rather that men are desensitized to injustice or evil, instead viewing these things clinically as facts. In other words, modern men haven’t been trained to have a sense of duty—they don’t know what to properly love or hate. Augustine wrote in the City of God that it is virtuous to have rightly ordered loves. We thus seek to awaken men’s sense of duty and responsibility and invite all men who wish to enter conversation about redeeming and reimagining the West to join us.
